1.2 FISS is controller within the meaning of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and at the same time service provider within the meaning of the German Telemedia Act (TMG).

1.3 FISS takes data protection seriously. Your data is collected in accordance with legal re-quirements. You may find detailed information regarding these requirements at www.datenschutz.de.

2. User data

User data is personal data that is provided when creating a customer account and stored by FISS. This data includes: First and surname, address, telephone and/or e-mail address.

3. Enquiry data

3.1 Enquiry data is personal data that is required to create, establish the terms of, amend or terminate the enquiry. This includes: First and surname, address, telephone and/or e-mail ad-dress, usage data, etc.

3.2 FISS processes and uses enquiry data to establish, perform and amend the enquiry.

3.3 FISS processes and uses your enquiry data only for the purpose of providing you advice, for market research and advertisement to the extent you have given your consent for such purposes.

4. Duration of data storage

To the extent legal requirements demand continued processing, in particular storage, of data, your personal data within the meaning of clauses 2. and 3. will be deleted immediately after termination of the contractual relationship to the extent expressly permitted by law or you have given your permission to do so.

5. Disclosure to third parties

5.1 FISS uses your personal data within the meaning of clauses 2 and 3 exclusively to enable you to use the services of FISS. In no event will FISS disclose your personal data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes, or otherwise transfer it for purposes other than the performance of its contractual duties, unless you have expressly consented to such dis-closure.

6. Use of Google Analytics

6.1 The website of FISS uses Google Analytics, a web analytics software of Google, Inc. Google uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

6.2 FISS informs you that Google has been expanded by the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" to ensure anonymisation of your IP address ("IP masking) on this website. In this way, your IP address is shortened by Google within the member states of the European Union or in another signatory state to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission to an US server of Google. It is thus no longer possible to unambiguously associate the IP address. Only in exceptional cases will the complete IP address be transferred to a server of Google in the US, where it will be shortened.

6.3 On behalf of FISS, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for FISS and to provide FISS other ser-vices relating to website activity and internet usage.

6.4 Google, Inc. will also possibly transfer this data to third parties if this is required by law or to the extent third parties process this data on behalf of Google, Inc. In no event will Google, Inc. associate data generated in such manner with other data from Google, Inc.

6.5 You may prevent your browser from installing cookies with a corresponding setting of your software; however FISS informs you of the fact that, in this case, you may not be able to use all website functions of FISS to the full extent. In addition, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your usage of the website (incl. your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). You can find detailed information on this under http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de and under http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html (general information on Google Analytics and data protection).

7. Cookies

7.1 After your login (with login name and password), FISS uses cookies, which are not objec-tionable under data protection law and serve only to ensure the technical functionality.

7.2 Cookies are small text files placed on your computer. Cookies at FISS do not contain any personal information about the users, rather only a code that has no meaning outside the FISS services. The cookies are stored on the hard drive of your computer. This enables FISS to adapt its websites to your interests. Cookies also provide FISS with the ability to measure the effectiveness of certain advertisements and to accordingly control their placing such that the placement of advertisements may depend on the interests of the user.

7.3 FISS also uses "session cookies". These are deleted when the session is closed (by logout or timeout). The purpose of these cookies is to continue to be able to identify your computer if you change between FISS websites during a visit to the FISS websites and to determine the end of your visit.

7.4 You can deactivate the storage of cookies in your browser security settings. However, this may result in limitations of the FISS website's functionality.

8. Log files

8.1 Each time a user accesses FISS websites and each time a file is retrieved, general in-formation on this process is stored in a log file. In particular, the following data is stored in relation to every retrieval:

- name of the retrieved file,
- date and time of retrieval,
- description of the type of web browser used,
- data volume transferred,
- the name of your internet service provider and

9.2 FISS uses the so-called double opt-in procedure, i.e. FISS will send you the newsletter only if you previously confirm your registration via a link we send you for this purpose in the confirmation e-mail. In doing so, FISS wants to ensure that you can only register for the newsletter service personally as owner of the e-mail address indicated. Your confirmation must be sent shortly after receipt of the confirmation e-mail, as otherwise your newsletter registration will automatically be deleted from the FISS database.

9.3 You may revoke your permission to the storage of data, your e-mail address and to their use in order to send the newsletter at any time.
