Used vibratory finishing machines and vibratory finishing systems from Rösler, Walther Trowal, Spalek and others

Here you will find used vibratory finishing machines for the chemical-mechanical processing of surfaces (trowalising) of cast, forged or stamped aluminium, zinc, brass and steel parts. Well-known manufacturers are Rösler, Walther Trowal and Spalek.

Surface grindingis a process for the surface treatment of mostly metallic workpieces. The workpieces are placed in a working container together with abrasive bodies(chips, granules) and an additive in aqueous solution (compound). By means of an oscillating or rotating movement, the workpiece and the abrasive are rubbed against each other in such a way that excess material is removed from the edges of the workpiece. The surface appearance, material removal, roughness, deburring can be adjusted or varied as desired by means of a suitable machine and targeted selection of the grinding tools. One can polish, deburr, round edges, degrease, clean, descale, derust or ball burnish with the used vibratory finishing machine.

How is a used vibratory finishing machine constructed?

The construction of a vibratory finishing machineis explained quite quickly: vibratory finishing machines consist of a drum with grinding and polishing stones through which workpieces whose surfaces are to be finished are guided. The workpieces are guided by a steady vibration of the vibratory finishing machine. Some vibratory finishing machines guide the workpieces through the machine with the help of a stirring device. The operating principle in the machine is also simple: the surface of the workpiece continuously grinds along the abrasives and all unwanted unevenness is thus removed. The degree of the sanding result depends on the abrasive and polishing stones used in the sliding sanding machineand the duration of the sanding process. In this way, the process can be controlled quite individually.

What role do the abrasives play in the used vibratory finishing machine?

Hardness and the roughness of the abrasives are decisive for the subsequent sanding result. The smaller, harder and finer the abrasive stones are, the higher the quality of the result. The variety of results that can be achieved with a used vibratory finishing machine range from coarse deburring to exclusive high-gloss polishing. In contrast to manual sanding, machine processing is particularly safe. The abrasive is precisely matched to the result and adapts optimally and completely individually to the contour of the respective workpieces. In this way, deep removal of base material is generally avoided and the results are always uniformly good.

What machining possibilities can a used vibratory finishing machine offer?

  • Polishing & Smoothing: Polishing and smoothing the workpiece surface reduces roughness. The desired surface roughness can be precisely defined and the surface quality of the workpieces is significantly increased.
  • Deburring & Rounding: Burrs on components created during punching, milling, turning or casting are efficiently removed and sharp edges are rounded.
  • Descaling & Cleaning: Temper colours, rust or stubborn dirt on the surface can also be removed effectively.
