Spraying Machines
Die spraying systems automatically apply release agent to the open die of a hot chamber die casting machine. Depending on their configuration, they can also blow out residues, cool selected tooling areas and lubricate moving die components.
FISS Machines offers used pneumatic and motor-driven die spraying systems with spray tools, release-agent tanks, control systems and additional peripheral equipment. Where no suitable used system is available, factory-new equipment may also be sourced depending on the project.
The cycle sequence of a hot chamber die casting cell
Die spraying is not an additional downstream process. Its movement takes place directly between casting extraction and reclosing of the die and must therefore be coordinated precisely with the machine and automation.
Why hot chamber die spraying requires a dedicated configuration
Hot chamber die casting machines frequently produce small to medium-sized castings with short cycle times. The die spraying system must therefore operate compactly, quickly and reliably without unnecessarily extending the machine cycle.
Four tracks determine the spraying result
The result is not created by the nozzle alone. Media supply, air, movement sequence and spray tool must operate as one connected system.
Pneumatic or motor-driven?
Both configurations can be used in hot chamber die casting. The suitable solution depends on the required freedom of movement, positioning capability, cycle time and existing machine control system.
Pneumatic die spraying systems are suitable for simple, repeatable stroke movements. They can be particularly useful for retrofitting compact hot chamber die casting machines.
Depending on their design, motor-driven die spraying systems allow programmable positions, speeds and movement profiles. This may offer advantages where several tooling zones or product variants are involved.
What belongs to a complete used die spraying system?
The scope of supply can vary considerably. Before purchase, it should be clarified exactly which mechanical, electrical and media-carrying components are included.
Technical passport for a used die spraying system
Actual suitability depends on the working travel, machine assignment, spray tool, media supply and control system—not solely on the manufacturer and year of manufacture.
Retrofitting existing hot chamber die casting machines
Depending on their size and the installation situation, pneumatic and motor-driven die spraying units can be adapted to existing hot chamber machines. The decisive factors are the tooling area, stroke, mounting arrangement, machine control system and safe release signals.
Which tasks does the die spraying system perform?
A stable spraying process creates repeatable conditions at the die. The actual effect depends on the tooling, release agent, die temperature and process parameters.
The die spraying system within hot chamber automation
Material supply, die conditioning, part extraction, separation, transport and quality control form one connected production flow.
Die spraying units, spray tools and accessories
In addition to complete used die spraying systems, FISS also offers components and accessories for retrofitting, repair and adaptation to new die casting dies.
Clean.
Adapt. A used die spraying system must do more than function. It must be possible to adapt it safely to the new machine, die and cell control system.
Refurbishment and integration into a new hot chamber cell
Depending on their condition, used die spraying systems can be cleaned, mechanically inspected, resealed and equipped with an adapted spray tool. The control system, end positions and media circuits must then be coordinated with the new machine.
Buy used die spraying systems
FISS supports the selection of a suitable die spraying system and the clarification of stroke, drive type, spray tool, media supply, control system and actual scope of supply.
Dismantling, transport, technical inspection, retrofitting and integration into an existing hot chamber die casting cell can also be taken into account.
Sell die spraying systems
FISS supports the evaluation and international marketing of individual spraying units, complete die spraying systems, spray tools and connected hot chamber automation equipment.
In addition to brokerage and international marketing, direct purchase by FISS may also be an option depending on the project.
