The plant compass: five questions before purchase

With used industrial plants, the condition of the machinery alone is not enough. A plant may be technically attractive but economically unsuitable if scope of supply, dismantling, transport or integration do not fit the project.

Therefore, it should be clarified early which components are included, which utilities and foundations are required, how the plant can be dismantled and which adaptations are necessary at the new site.

What really needs to be checked with complete plants

The focus is not a single technical data sheet, but a reliable project file: condition, scope, site, risks and reusability.

Technical usability Production output, process quality, control system, automation, utilities and material flow must fit the planned use.
File 02
Scope of supply Main plant, auxiliary equipment, electrical cabinets, software, programmes, tools, spare parts and documentation must be clearly defined.
File 03
Site feasibility Hall height, cranes, access points, foundations, utility connections, cable routes, extraction and time windows determine the dismantling effort.

Restart capability Layout, safety technology, control integration, environmental requirements, commissioning and production acceptance must be possible at the new site.
