FISS supports foundries and die casting companies with the reconditioning, repair and maintenance of melting furnaces, dosing furnaces, crucible furnaces and refractory furnace components. The focus is on professional linings, material selection, drying, repair and recommissioning in the production environment.

Reconditioning for

  • StrikoWestofen WESTOMAT dosing furnaces
  • StrikoWestofen StrikoMelter melting furnaces
  • Nabertherm crucible furnaces
  • Filters, pots and pouring troughs
  • Furnace lids, doors and refractory components

Refractory technology & furnace service

Professionally repair furnaces and keep them ready for production

Foundry furnaces are exposed to high thermal and mechanical loads in daily operation. Wear on refractory linings, doors, furnace rims, pouring troughs, filters or pots can affect process reliability, energy efficiency and machine availability.

FISS relies on high-quality partnerships, professional competence and effective project management. This allows reconditioning, repair, maintenance, material selection, drying, assembly and recommissioning to be planned cleanly and supported transparently.

Furnace types

Reconditioning for dosing furnaces, melting furnaces and crucible furnaces

Depending on the furnace type, design, refractory lining, thermal load and repair scope can differ. FISS supports individual repairs as well as complete furnace reconditioning projects.

WESTOMAT Dosing Furnaces

Reconditioning of StrikoWestofen WESTOMAT dosing furnaces including lining, insulation, door renewal and furnace rim.

StrikoMelter Melting Furnaces

Complete furnace linings with refractory materials or bricks, formwork production and drying time monitoring.

Crucible Furnaces

Repair and reconditioning of crucible furnaces, for example Nabertherm crucible furnaces with different capacities.

Refractory Components

Production and repair of pouring troughs, filters, pots, wedges, plugs, barriers, furnace lids and doors.

WESTOMAT dosing furnaces

Reconditioning of StrikoWestofen WESTOMAT dosing furnaces

For WESTOMAT dosing furnaces, the reconditioning mainly includes work on refractory lining, insulation, formwork, floor, walls, vaults, door and furnace rim. The aim is a clean technical restoration of the heavily used furnace areas.
